I'm Gloria Martins, founder of Perfect Connection Counselling & Holistic Therapies. I believe healing begins when we feel truly seen, heard, and accepted — my role isn't to fix people, but to create a safe space where they can reconnect with their own inner wisdom, resilience, and capacity for change.
Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, I've lived overseas for more than 30 years, including the past two decades in Australia. Living between cultures has taught me that although our stories may differ, our deepest needs are often the same — to feel understood, connected, valued, and at peace.
"Healing begins when we feel safe enough to reconnect with ourselves."
My own path here has been shaped not only by years of study, but by life itself. I know what it means to face pregnancy loss, postpartum depression, serious illness, and the fear of watching someone I love recover from a brain haemorrhage — all while raising a family far from home. Those experiences didn't define me; they deepened my empathy and my commitment to walking alongside others through their hardest seasons, with hope and compassion.
Today, I work primarily with women, couples, and individuals navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, pregnancy, and the journey into parenthood — including specialised birth preparation through hypnotherapy, so women can approach childbirth with confidence, calm, and trust in their own body. My approach blends evidence-based counselling with holistic care, because healing lives in the mind and the body — in the nervous system and in how we relate to ourselves.
With more than 15 years in practice, I work as a Counsellor, Clinical Hypnotherapist, Vibroacoustic Therapist, Breathwork Coach, Yoga Teacher, and Sound Healing Practitioner — always led by what each person in front of me needs. Every story is unique, and I believe therapy should be too.
With love and gratitude,
Gloria Martins

Based on the Taoist concept of Yin and Yang. Consists of long held, passive floor poses that mainly work on deep connective tissues — tendons, ligaments, and fascia — helping release tightness and increase circulation in the joints.
A great prescription for mental catharsis, muscle relaxation and stress relief. Poses are held for 10–20 minutes, helping to regulate the nervous system, reduce cortisol levels, and promote deep emotional release.
Balancing the energies of Ha (sun) and tha (moon). Slow paced with more static holds and breath techniques, giving time for the client to engage with the connection of body and mind.
A meditative experience where attendees are bathed in sound waves produced by healing instruments. In my classes I use authentic Nepalese Singing Bowls for a deeply restorative experience.
Clinical Hypnotherapy is a powerful, evidence-based modality that uses a guided state of deep relaxation and focused awareness to access the subconscious mind. In this deeply calm state, the mind becomes more open and receptive to positive change, allowing long-held patterns, fears, and limiting beliefs to be gently and safely reframed.
As a trained Clinical Hypnotherapist, I work with clients to address a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, stress, phobias, low self-esteem, sleep difficulties, and unwanted habits. Sessions are gentle, collaborative, and always client-led — you remain fully aware and in control throughout the entire process.
Hypnotherapy is not about losing control — it is about gaining it. By working with the subconscious mind, we can create deep and lasting transformation from within, gently unlocking the inner wisdom and strength that already resides in you.
My mission is simple: to create a safe, compassionate space where people can reconnect with who they truly are.
Life can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves — through grief, trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, loss, or major life transitions. I know that journey personally. My own experiences have taught me that genuine healing isn't about finding a quick fix — it is about gently returning home to yourself.
I believe that every person already carries within them the wisdom, strength, and capacity to heal and grow. My role is not to tell you who to become, but to walk beside you as you rediscover your own inner voice, values, and direction.
Together, we explore the patterns, beliefs, emotions, and experiences that may be keeping you stuck, while building greater awareness, self-compassion, and resilience. As your relationship with yourself changes, the way you experience your life and your relationships naturally begins to change as well.
One of the most powerful places to begin is with the breath. Our breath is always with us — a bridge connecting the mind, body, and emotions. Learning to slow down, breathe consciously, and truly listen to yourself creates space for clarity, healing, and lasting transformation.
Whether through counselling, Hypnotherapy, breathwork, vibroacoustic therapy, sound healing, or mindfulness practices, my intention is always the same: to support you in reconnecting with yourself, so you can live with greater peace, authenticity, and purpose.
Healing is not about becoming someone new.
It is about remembering who you have always been.
